4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 8/25/17

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks haven't posted the most impressive marks against left-handed pitching this year -- they rank just 26th in team wOBA (.299), but after diving in a bit deeper, there's a lot to bullish about today.

The Snakes' hard-hit rate is far better against southpaws (33.1%), and they'll face struggling rookie Ty Blach of the San Francisco Giants, while also gaining the added benefit of returning to their home park. Blach's last two outings haven't gone well -- he's been torched for 12 earned runs and 3 homers allowed over 11 1/3 innings, with his swinging-strike rate in each game checking in at 7.3% and 2.1%, respectively.

If Blach isn't careful, slugger Paul Goldschmidt is likely to hit one a mile off him.

It goes without saying -- Goldy makes for a fantastic play, and as always, he's expensive tonight ($4,300). And after peeking at Blach's 32.7% hard-hit rate and 35.0% fly-ball rate allowed to righties in 2017, there are quite a few more bats to target that are a little less pricey and still have the platoon advantage.

J.D. Martinez is also not cheap at $4,100, but there's a reason why -- during his time in the desert, he's rocked a 163 wRC+ against left-handed pitching. Some cheaper options include Adam Rosales at $2,300, who has a 33.3% hard-hit rate in this situation, and Chris Herrmann ($2,000), who's at the site minimum price and has a hard-hit rate of 40.0%.
