FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/3/18
Following a Monday slate sorely lacking in pitching options -- although our guy Charlie Morton passed with flying colors -- we get a more traditional selection tonight with two certified aces at the top, followed by some tournament value should you wish to pay down. And worry not because there is still hitting galore to choose from in what's looking like a fun nine-game main slate.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel's main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Clayton Kershaw ($11,500 on FanDuel): Yes, it's true, Clayton Kershaw's velocity was down in his opening start against the San Francisco Giants. Sound the alarms! In all seriousness, the drop is significant enough that it is a big deal should it continue, but considering Kershaw still managed an 18.7% swinging-strike rate against a Giants team that's typically averse to punchouts, it's premature to jump ship from the best pitcher in recent memory. The Arizona Diamondbacks' current roster registered only an 82 wRC+ against lefties last season and has the lowest implied team total on the board (3.28). Kershaw is the top play, but also keep an eye on the velocity tonight in case this becomes a lingering concern.
