FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Thursday 5/10/18
Between the Orioles, Blue Jays and Royals, last night's unusual chalk offenses had some hits and misses, but with Coors Field on tap tonight, perhaps we'll have a greater chance of overall success. It doesn't hurt that pitching pricing is down as well, with Zack Greinke topping out as the most expensive pitcher at just $9,300. In addition to the Brewers and Rockies occupying Coors, last night's trio of offenses are still in play, along with the always dangerous Yankees.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Zack Greinke ($9,300 on FanDuel): Zack Greinke has by no means the safest matchup on the board at home against the Washington Nationals, but he's the biggest name among the slate's best arms. He checks in with a 3.02 SIERA, 27.7% strikeout rate, and 3.5% walk rate, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at, and he is falling in line with what he did in 2017. At this point, we know we're getting a steady floor with Greinke, but given the mediocre spot, the question is whether you think he's worth top dollar when we want to spend up at Coors Field. The Nationals have a modest 3.74 implied team total, but there are lower marks on this slate.
