FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 5/28/18
For some afternoon entertainment, be sure to check out FanDuel's seven-game early slate that locks at 1:05pm ET. But looking ahead to tonight's main slate, we have a four-game offering featuring a Coors Field contest between the Giants and Rockies. The pitching side is rather limited -- with the most expensive arm only costing $8,500 -- but at least that means we'll have more cash to invest in our Coors bats.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered!
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Vince Velasquez ($8,300 on FanDuel): It says something when our "safest" hurler is Vince Velasquez, but he owns a better-than-you-might-think 3.49 SIERA and 28.4% strikeout rate on the season. He can still get in trouble with free passes here and there, but his 8.4% walk rate remains a big improvement from 2017. Velasquez doesn't have an advantageous matchup on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers -- who have a middle-of-the-road 4.15 implied team total -- but his strikeout rate does laps around all of tonight's alternatives. He doesn't necessarily have to be perfect to come out as this evening's top pitching performer.
