Tuesday brings us a whopping 14-game slate, but for all those contests, it's not the pitching bonanza you might expect. Even so, we have some worthwhile options at the top, and with a struggling Jeff Samardzija visiting Coors Fields, it's a good evening to have no hurler priced above four-digits. Yes, it's looking like one of those fade-Coors-at-your-own-peril kind of nights. In addition to the Rockies and the visiting Giants, the Red Sox also come in with the highest implied team totals on the board.

High-Priced Pitchers

Kenta Maeda ($9,300 on FanDuel): Kenta Maeda might seem like an unusual name to see listed off the top, but it's hard to argue with what he's done this season. Maeda owns an impressive 3.12 SIERA, and his 30.8% strikeout rate ranks 9th among pitchers with at least 50 innings. And whereas last year we worried about Maeda getting the quick hook, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been much more willing to let him loose in 2018, as he logged 111 pitches in his most recent outing. The Philadelphia Phillies bring a 26.4% strikeout rate against righties to Los Angeles, and have a paltry 3.05 implied team total. Maeda's salary is on the upswing, but this is hardly an outrageous price, and he checks in as tonight's best option.
