FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 6/5/18
It's a Max Scherzer day, and with no Coors Field game to tempt us, there's little reason to stray from the master in your cash games tonight. And with 14 games on tap, we shouldn't have any shortage of value plays to still create a formidable crew of bats. The Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees will be some of the evening's top hitting destinations.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Max Scherzer ($12,000 on FanDuel): Max Scherzer has been nothing short of brilliant this year, leading all qualified starters in both SIERA (2.26) and strikeout rate (38.7%). His fantasy output has been off the charts lately, with his last five FanDuel scores reading 65, 61, 58, 24, and 70. The one blip was a rare misstep against the Miami Marlins, but, hey, he's only human after all. The Tampa Bay Rays are hoping lightning can strike twice, but with just a .316 team wOBA against righties and a slate-low 2.77 implied team total, that will be a tall order. Scherzer is the top overall play in both cash games and tournaments.
