FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Friday 6/8/18
We're wrapping up the work week with a big Friday slate as usual, checking in with a 14-game doozy that's chock full of aces. Coors Field also makes its triumphant return with the Arizona Diamondbacks in town, but we have plenty of viable alternatives in teams like the Astros, Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Cardinals.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Chris Sale ($11,500 on FanDuel): We could go any number of directions at the top of tonight's impressive pitching list, but when factoring in matchup, Chris Sale is the guy who distances himself from the pack. The visiting Chicago White Sox come in with a league-worst 27.7% strikeout rate against southpaws, so their minuscule 3.02 implied team total comes as no surprise. Meanwhile, the Boston ace is up to his usual tricks this year, mowing down the opposition with regularity off a 2.70 SIERA, 34.0% strikeout rate, and 6.5% walk rate. Throw in that Sale is a huge favorite for the win against Dylan Covey, and you have a spot that checks all the right boxes. Sale doesn't come cheap, but he's worth fitting into your cash-game lineups as tonight's top overall play.
