High-Priced Pitcher

Charlie Morton ($10,000 on FanDuel): Morton is the slate's lone "high-priced pitcher" as he's the only hurler priced above $8,000. He offers the most cash-game safety of the available pitchers, but you'll have to pay through the nose for it, which isn't ideal on a four-game slate that includes a Coors contest. But Morton has by far the best numbers on the slate (2.98 SIERA, 31.2% strikeout rate and 12.3% swinging-strike rate), and he does have a pretty nice matchup against the Texas Rangers, who, over the last 30 days, sit 20th in wOBA (.304) with the 3rd-highest strikeout rate (25.0%). Morton has faced Texas twice this season, allowing 3 earned runs in 13 innings while amassing a hard-to-believe 26 strikeouts. We project him for 34.6 FanDuel points, and he's the clear cash-game play tonight.
