3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/13/18

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

New York Yankees

Erick Fedde is making only his fifth career start and second of 2018, so it's just his luck that it comes against one of the toughest offenses in the league. Fedde did fairly well in a spot start against the San Diego Padres in May, allowing 3 earned runs over 5 2/3 innings with 6 strikeouts, and he's also posted a respectable 2.71 FIP in Triple-A this year.

But with all due respect to the Padres and Triple-A, the New York Yankees at home are a whole different animal, and they have a slate-high 5.37 implied team total. Sure, there's always some risk when we're talking about an unknown entity like Fedde, but how can we not have confidence in an offense that's posted the second-best wRC+ against righties?

Aaron Judge ($4,800) and Giancarlo Stanton ($4,400) are your top choices, of course, and although Stanton hasn't quite put up last season's gaudy numbers thus far, this is a nice price point for 2017's home run king. Meanwhile, Judge hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, putting up a 46.5% hard-hit rate and .320 isolated power (ISO) against right-handed pitching.

Brett Gardner ($3,000) has turned things around nicely since his slow 2018 start, owning a .381 wOBA since the beginning of May. He's a nice value as an inexpensive leadoff man. Greg Bird ($3,400) seems to have cooled of late, but he remains affordable, and don't knock the upside of that career 40.9% hard-hit rate and .245 ISO out of the three-hole.

Didi Gregorius ($3,800) emphatically reminded us that he's put that horrendous May in the rearview mirror, slugging two bombs on Tuesday. He's now produced a .351 wOBA and .239 ISO versus righties since the start of 2017. Miguel Andujar ($3,700) and Gleyber Torres ($3,900) remain expensive for their low spots in the order but are high-upside ways to be contrarian.
