FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 7/10/18
A full 15-game slate awaits us on Tuesday, with both a plethora of tantalizing hitting spots -- including Coors Field -- and a pair of bonafide aces in Justin Verlander and Trevor Bauer. Can we find enough value to fit in these elite arms, or should we embrace the temptation to pay down? In addition to the Diamondbacks and Rockies at Coors, the Red Sox and Yankees are among tonight's top offenses.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Justin Verlander ($11,800 on FanDuel): After a pair of missteps at the end of June, Justin Verlander righted the ship against the Chicago White Sox last week, as he continued his stellar 2018. After all, it's hard to nitpick a 2.98 SIERA, 31.8% strikeout rate, 5.0% walk rate, and 21.6% soft-hit rate. A matchup against the Oakland Athletics is no walk in the park, but there's still some strikeout upside against guys like Khris Davis and Matt Olson, and Oakland is only showing a 3.07 implied team total on the road. When excluding price, Verlander gets the edge as tonight's top hurler.
