FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 9/18/18
Top-of-the-line pitching rules the day on Tuesday, and particularly in tournaments it might be difficult to narrow down your favorites. On the other hand, as you might expect, hitting is less plentiful, with the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers once again in good spots, along with the Cleveland Indians.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

High-Priced Pitchers
Corey Kluber ($12,000 on FanDuel): This slate is littered with the likes of Clayton Kershaw, Aaron Nola, and Blake Snell -- who are all very much viable themselves -- but the top matchup belongs to Corey Kluber against the Chicago White Sox. Kluber let people down in a big way last week, lasting a mere 1 2/3 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays, but Tampa Bay isn't exactly a bunch of scrubs, and we can likely just chalk it up as a bad day at the office. Kluber has disappointed a bit in the strikeout department this year, but a 3.29 SIERA, 25.6% strikeout rate, and 3.8% walk rate is nothing to complain about, and Chicago has a mere 3.20 implied total. Furthermore, the White Sox should help out with the punchouts, as they have all season, with a 25.4% strikeout rate against righties. Despite last week's clunker, Kluber is the most expensive arm on the board, which isn't ideal, but he still shakes out as a superb cash-game play.
