FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Wednesday 9/19/18
Wednesday's 10-game slate leans more on the pitching side, with Carlos Carrasco and Walker Buehler leading the way in appealing matchups. We still have plenty to choose from on offense, though, as the Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Pittsburgh Pirates are all in plus spots.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Carlos Carrasco ($11,200 on FanDuel): We begin things with Carlos Carrasco, who draws the always enticing matchup against the Chicago White Sox, a team that has struck out at a 25.4% clip against righties this year, and the same one displaying just a 3.21 implied total tonight. We have to love the potential punchout upside in this spot, and Carrasco owns the slate's best SIERA (3.05) and second-best strikeout rate (28.8%). Even more encouraging, he's been in great form in the second half, with those numbers sparkling even brighter (2.57 SIERA, 32.0% strikeout rate). Carrasco may be the most expensive hurler by a sizable margin, but he's worth it as the slate's top pitching option.
