4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 4/23/19
We get another night of Coors Field, and the Washington Nationals figure to be tonight's most popular choice, with the Colorado Rockies drawing a tough matchup against lefty Patrick Corbin. But much like Monday, we don't exactly have the who's who of aces taking the mound tonight, giving us plenty of stacking opportunities elsewhere.
Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.
Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.
Now, let's get to the stacks. As usual, we will not include today's game at Coors Field in these recommendations. You already know that you want bats at Coors when you can afford them, and you don't need us to tell you. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.
Chicago White Sox
The Chicago White Sox once again get some love tonight after torching the hapless Baltimore Orioles for 12 runs on Monday.
Andrew Cashner tags in as the latest potential victim of this sorry rotation, lugging along a 5.60 SIERA, 13.6% strikeout rate, and 10.9% walk rate. A 54.2% ground-ball rate hasn't prevented him from allowing at least one home run in four of five starts, due in no small part to allowing a 48.2% hard-hit rate.
And as noted yesterday, Baltimore's bullpen only adds to the stacking fun, owning the fourth-worst SIERA in the league (4.57).
Yoan Moncada ($4,200) continues to be the highlight of this squad, painting his Statcast page in a fiery red, and only he and Tim Anderson ($4,400) are priced above $3,000 in the lineup. Jose Abreu ($2,800) is coming off a huge performance and could start cashing in more often on his strong early-season barrel numbers. Yonder Alonso ($2,800) will enjoy the platoon advantage and owns a solid 38.3% hard-hit rate and 41.7% fly-ball rate.
Welington Castillo ($2,700) moves up to the five-hole, making him an interesting pivot off Aberu and Alonso if you're looking to be contrarian. Nick Delmonico ($2,200) isn't as interesting on his own, but he's batting sixth again and offers a near-minimum lefty stick.
