FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 5/7/19
On Tuesday, 13 games grace the main slate, and it's one where we won't be lacking in either pitching or hitting. The bats for the Red Sox and Astros are in good spots once again, while Coors Field reenters the fray with a matchup between the Giants and Rockies.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Noah Syndergaard ($10,400 on FanDuel): Noah Syndergaard is one of several big-name hurlers to endure a rocky opening month to the season, and Syndergaard must have been happy to put April behind him, roasting the Reds for a complete game shutout in his first May start (67 FanDuel points). And despite his early struggles, he's actually posted a rock-solid 3.49 SIERA, 27.4% strikeout rate, and 6.2% walk rate, while also owning the league's fifth-best soft-hit rate (26.3%). Hopefully, last week's brilliant outing is a sign of things to come, and Syndergaard has the right matchup to keep things going, taking on the Padres at Petco Park (3.45 implied total). The Padres have some pop, but their active roster has only mustered a 79 wRC+ against righties with a generous 26.5% strikeout rate.
