FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 5/27/19
FanDuel's selection of Memorial Day offerings are divided into a seven-game early only slate (1:05pm ET) and a four-game main slate (7:10pm ET), in addition to an all-day option. With this being one of those rare occasions where the early slate is the larger of the two split slates, we'll be focusing on that one today, though we'll still throw some notes on tonight's games, too.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered!
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Max Scherzer ($11,800 on FanDuel): When factoring in matchups, Max Scherzer is the no-brainer top choice of the early slate, taking on one of our favorite teams to attack in the Miami Marlins. Against right-handers, the Marlins' active roster ranks last in both wOBA (.281) and ISO (.110) while striking out at a 24.3% clip. Although Scherzer has surprisingly failed to crack 50 FanDuel points since dominating on opening day, much of that stems from some poor luck with wins (two), as he's yet to drop below seven punchouts in any outing and still boasts an excellent 3.00 SIERA, 32.4% strikeout rate, and 5.4% walk rate over 11 starts. This looks like the perfect spot for one of those vintage Mad Max ceiling games, and the Marlins have a meager 2.99 implied total.
