FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 6/4/19
All 30 teams are in action tonight, and this is one of those slates where there isn't any shortage of both pitching or hitting. Double-digit winds blowing out at Wrigley and a mediocre opposing hurler have the Cubs in a fantastic spot for bats (6.13 implied total), along with the Red Sox, Dodgers, and Rangers, among others.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Stephen Strasburg ($11,500 on FanDuel): Staying healthy has always been the main issue with Stephen Strasburg, but it's been smooth sailing for him through 12 starts in 2019. His 31.3% strikeout rate is a step up from last year's clip and is backed by a career-best 14.5% swinging-strike rate. He also isn't allowing much hard contact, with his 26.6% hard-hit rate leading all qualified starters, and like always, he rarely issues free passes (6.4% walk rate). The White Sox continue to be a plus matchup for punchouts, as their active roster strikes out 25.4% of time versus right-handed pitching, and they don't pack much punch, either, carrying the league's third-worst ISO in the split (.160).
