FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 6/18/19
Like most Tuesdays, we've got every team in play on tonight's slate, and there are solid options all across the salary spectrum amongst the evening's starting pitchers. Quite a few squads are also in favorable hitting spots, with over a third of the teams showing implied totals of 4.60 runs or better.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Justin Verlander ($12,000 on FanDuel): Justin Verlander is really getting up there in salary these days, but few have been as consistent as the ageless ace, who's averaging more than 45 FanDuel points per game and has dropped below 30 FanDuel points just once in 15 starts. Naturally, he isn't short on ceiling, either, reaching 55 or more FanDuel points eight times and exceeding 60 points twice. With those kinds of results, it isn't surprising to see him sporting the best overall numbers on the board with a 3.11 SIERA, 32.8% strikeout rate, and 5.0% walk rate. Given Verlander's fly-ball tendencies, Great American Ball Park could lead to a solo shot or two, but his matchup is otherwise excellent against a Reds active roster that owns an 84 wRC+ and 24.3% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitching.
