4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 7/26/19

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

New York Yankees

Stacking against Andrew Cashner isn't exactly a new concept in daily fantasy. His 5.03 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) is tied for the 11th-worst among qualifying pitchers in 2019, and by his usual standards a 5.03 SIERA is actually a pretty strong mark. Last year's 5.33 mark would rank fourth-worst this season, and his 5.52 from 2017 would be the second-worst.

He's a particularly good stacking target because he doesn't hold back same-sided bats. Since 2017, he's only managed a 5.06 xFIP against right-handed bats, and so when you're stacking against him, you can really just target and offense's most productive players with much less concern for handedness.

That's perfect for the New York Yankees, who are filled with terrific right-handed options. Aaron Judge ($4,700) is obviously the marquee play, with a .402 wOBA on the year and a career .403 wOBA and .292 ISO on a 47.3% hard-hit rate against same-sided pitchers. Edwin Encarnacion ($4,500) and his .288 ISO also gives you a ton of upside in this spot.

The rest of your stack really comes down to what kind of salary space you have. DJ LeMahieu ($4,200), Aaron Hicks ($4,100), and Gleyber Torres ($4,000) are on the expensive side of things but are all firmly in play here. LeMahieu has a career-high .379 wOBA on the season and leads the Yanks in both runs scored (74) and RBI (71). Hicks has seen his ISO climb in three straight seasons, peaking at .231 this year. Torres has a .357 wOBA and .199 ISO across 651 plate appearances against righties in his young career.

You can go cheaper with the Yanks, too, though. Mike Tauchman ($3,000) is one of the slate's premier value options, bringing a .360 wOBA and .218 ISO into this juicy matchup. Didi Gregorius ($3,700) is also very affordable, and since 2017, he has a .356 wOBA and .236 ISO against righties.
