FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Friday 8/16/19
Coors Field is back on the main slate, and a truly massive implied total should make the Colorado Rockies easily one of the most popular stacks tonight. The Boston Red Sox could also have a big performance in store for us against the Baltimore Orioles.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Charlie Morton ($11,300 on FanDuel): Charlie Morton is the best combination of talent and matchup on the slate, bringing a 3.54 SIERA and 30.5% strikeout rate into a home date against the Detroit Tigers. The whiff-happy Tigers continue to be an elite matchup for opposing hurlers, and their active roster enters tonight with a 74 wRC+ and 26.9% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitching -- both the worst marks in the league. Detroit's tiny 2.83 implied total is easily the slate's lowest, and Morton is the top overall pitching play on the night.
