FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Wednesday 9/4/19
With only one hurler priced above $10k, Wednesday's main slate is a far cry from the pitching-rich offering we saw yesterday, but there's still some value to be found in the lower tiers. If you choose to pay down, that means all the more cash to spend on strong offenses like the Dodgers and Red Sox, and even the Royals are looking mighty appealing in a tantalizing matchup.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitcher
Shane Bieber ($11,000 on FanDuel): Shane Beiber is the lone high-priced pitcher of the slate, and he's certainly worth that coin in a plum spot against the White Sox. Bieber comfortably outclasses the field in both strikeout rate (31.0%) and SIERA (3.30), while Chicago's active roster comes in with a shoddy 25.8% strikeout rate and 91 wRC+ versus righties. On a shallow pitching slate, it doesn't get much more straightforward than this if you want to lock in the night's top arm. Bieber has rattled off eight quality starts in a row and hasn't dropped below seven punchouts in any outing over that span.
