4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/3/15
Each day here on numberFire, we'll be providing you with four potential offenses to stack in your daily fantasy lineups. These are the offenses that provide huge run potential on that given day based on matchups and other factors.
After reading through these suggestions, make sure to check out our daily projections. These can either let you know which players to include in each stack, or which guy best complements said stack.

Now, let's get to the stacks. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.
Tampa Bay Rays
This is where I’m going today. Hector Santiago has a .218 ERA but a 4.21 SIERA, and the Rays’ active roster has a wOBA of .335 against left-handers. I just fist pumped, but you couldn’t see that. Santiago also has a low groundball rate of 30.4%, meaning he allows more line drives and fly balls than other pitchers.
Evan Longoria at $4,000 on the DraftKings night slate will be a popular play against the southpaw Santiago, and he’s the most expensive Ray you’ll need. Yes, they're that cheap.
Brandon Guyer has a career .337 wOBA versus lefties and is only $3,400, so he’s definitely in play. Despite striking out a ton against right-handers (almost 40%), Steven Souza has done so only 28.9% of the time in 45 plate appearances against left-handers, with a .446 wOBA. Also consider Rene Rivera, Joey Butler, and Logan Forsythe as cheap options.
Toronto Blue Jays
As a result of Tuesday’s doubleheader, Taylor Jordan gets the nod for the start today. Depending on how you spin it, he was halfway decent in limited work in 2013, but he is definitely someone to target. Jordan has a 4.08 career SIERA and barely strikes anyone out but is also a roundball wizard.
The Blue Jays’ active roster has a .324 wOBA against right-handers , fourth-best in baseball. This is definitely an expensive team to get your hands on, as it is loaded with star power. It could be worth a shot to go contrarian and play the bottom of the order, but the top of the order packs the serious punch.
Josh Donaldson is a whopping $5,500 on the DraftKings slate this evening, and Jose Bautista is $5,300, which makes me somewhat bearish on the Jays. Edwin “E5†Encarnacion is day-to-day, so watch for his name in the lineup card. He is $4,800, so you want to make sure he’s playing if you have him.Otherwise, Justin Smoak and Chris Colabello both become intriguing value plays at first base.
Washington Nationals
Mark Buehrle is one of the more irritating pitchers to stack against because it always seems like he has those starts where he’ll pitch six innings with one earned run and two strikeouts. With a SIERA of 4.83, you can feel comfortable picking on Buehrle.
The Nats’ active roster carries a .318 wOBA against lefties. That’s pretty good, and it’s even better when you consider they will now get a below-average pitcher in Buehrle. $4,200 seems like a good price for Ryan Zimmerman, who is having a down year but can still hit a fastball.
You’ll find Yunel Escobar is a DraftKings bargain at $3,400, as he is getting on base like crazy this year and is hitting leadoff while Denard Span is out. And you didn’t need me to tell you to roster that Bryce Harper fellow at $5,100.
Cleveland Indians
Jason Vargas has a 4.73 SIERA. The Indians have Ryan Raburn ($2,800) and
Catcher Yan Gomes at $3,900 on DraftKings always hits lefties, as does Nick Swisher at $3,400. The Indians aren’t a cheap as the Rays, but will leave you plenty of room for pitching.
