4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/22/16

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks. With the split slates, we'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate beginning at 7 pm Eastern. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Baltimore Orioles

This game is going to be bonkers. There's no over/under as of this writing; I'd assume that's because the algorithms in Vegas couldn't handle integers that grotesque. We'll check out the other side of this game in a second, but the Baltimore Orioles have stupid potential tonight.

San Diego Padres starter Erik Johnson has faced the wrath of the schedule makers in his four big-league starts this year. His first two -- while a member of the Chicago White Sox -- came against the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians, both top-10 offenses in wRC+ against righties. Then he joined the Padres, went to zero-gravity Coors Field, and then bopped home to face the scorching-hot Washington Nationals. He doesn't get a break tonight against the Orioles, who are fourth in wRC+ against righties and playing in the third-best park for offense. That's a bad, bad recipe for Johnson and his 5.18 SIERA. Godspeed, comrade.

Johnson has now faced 262 left-handed batters in his career, and he has walked exactly as many as he has struck out. That would seem sub-optimal for him, but it allows us to go back to the well with guys like Chris Davis, Hyun Soo Kim, Matt Wieters, and Pedro Alvarez. Alvarez will likely come with a big ownership bump after last night's double dong, but the other guys can still be worth the toll. Additionally, Johnson's strikeout rate against righties has dipped this year, so there are really no limitations here. Just stack up and watch 'em fly.
