4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 7/15/16

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Now, let's get to the stacks. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Washington Nationals

Francisco Liriano always struggles early in the year. It's essentially his trademark, as you'd expect for a guy with his elevated walk rate. Usually, though, things will start to trend in the positive direction once May hits. It's now July, and things are getting even worse for the lefty, meaning we need to view him for what he currently is and stack the Washington Nationals.

Over his past nine starts, Liriano has walked at least three batters in every game except for one. He has been able to nullify that in the past with his high strikeout rate, but over that same span, he has been held to three or fewer strikeouts on five occasions, including each of the past three. His velocity has been fine, but he just can't seem to find the zone, and the Nationals' fourth-ranked offense in wRC+ against lefties is fully capable of taking advantage.

Most of the Nationals' sticks are appropriately priced, but as always, Trea Turner is here to snag our affections. He'll likely be hitting leadoff again, and he checks in at a cool $2,300 on FanDuel. In his 356 professional plate appearances versus left-handed pitchers, Turner has slashed .358/.416/.547 with a 17.7% strikeout rate and 9.6% walk rate. You don't get this price, talent, and situation combo often, so load up on this pup while you can.
