Anthony Rizzo (back) sidelined Wednesday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) is not in the lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals.
Rizzo made an early exit from Tuesday's game against the Nationals due to lower back tightness. He will hopefully be available for Thursday's matinee following a full day of rest. Kris Bryant will cover first base on Wednesday. Jason Heyward will bat sixth and start in right. Ian Happ will hit third and David Bote will hit fifth following some movement in the order.
numberFire’s models project Bryant for 12.7 FanDuel points and he has a $3,300 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs have an implied total of 4.1 runs. Scherzer owns the third-highest strikeout rate (35.8 percent) and fourth-lowest walk rate (4.2 percent) among all listed starters Wednesday.
