Michael Perez riding pine Wednesday afternoon for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Michael Perez is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Ryan Pepiot and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Perez started the past three games behind the plate for Pittsburgh, but he is taking a seat for Wednesday's matinee. Andrew Knapp is starting at catcher and hitting ninth. Roberto Perez remains on the injured list with a hamstring injury.
