Twins put Joe Ryan on COVID-19 injured list
The Minnesota Twins placed starting pitcher Joe Ryan on the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday.
The Twins recalled Devin Smeltzer from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding roster move and he will start on Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. Ryan will hopefully only miss one start while on the COVID-19 list.
Ryan is averaging 33.7 FanDuel points per game this season. He has gone 5-2 with a 2.28 ERA while striking out 42 and walking 14 through 43 1/3 innings (eight starts).
