Elier Hernandez making MLB debut Thursday for Rangers
Texas Rangers outfielder Elier Hernandez is in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against left-hander Marco Gonzales and the Seattle Mariners.
The Rangers called up Hernandez from Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday. He will start at designated hitter and bat eighth in his first taste of MLB action. Steven Duggar was optioned down in a corresponding roster move.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Rangers' implied total (4.41) is No. 10 out of 26 teams Thursday. Among the 13 hosting stadiums, the Rangers-Mariners game has the second-strongest park factor for hitters.
