Matt Vierling on Phillies' bench in Wednesday matinee
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Matt Vierling is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Charlie Morton and the Atlanta Braves.
Vierling went 1-for-7 with a run scored, a steal, and a pair of strikeouts in the first two games of the series. Odubel Herrera will replace Vierling in center field and hit ninth.
Herrera has a $2,100 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 7.3 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Phillies’ implied total (3.88) is 18th out of 28 active teams Wednesday.
