Noah Syndergaard shipped from Angels to Phillies for two outfielders
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard has been traded to the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Angels unloaded some assets at Tuesday's trade deadline, and one of them is Syndergaard. With the Phillies firmly in the mix for a playoff spot, they are going full steam ahead with an eye on October baseball. Heading back to Los Angels in the deal are outfielders Mickey Moniak and Jadiel Sanchez, the former of which has just over 100 MLB plate appearances under his belt.
In 80 innings this season, Syndergaard has a 5-8 record with a 3.83 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, 64 strikeouts and 22 walks.
