Phillies' Rhys Hoskins (knee) carted off Thursday
Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins was carted off the field due to a left knee injury during Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Detroit Tigers.
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said the injury is "concerning" and that Hoskins is being evaluated, but on a positive note, he said the 30-year-old first baseman was walking around the clubhouse after being carted off. Hoskins' injury might result in Darick Hall having a more meaningful role to start the season. Scott Kingery or Kody Clemens could also see more playing time.
Altuve averaged 10.2 FanDuel points in 156 games last season and slashed .246/.332/.462 with 30 homers, 2 triples, 33 doubles, 79 RBI, 2 steals, and 81 runs scored across 671 plate appearances. He registered a 123 WRC+ with a .345 wOBA.
