Rockies' Alan Trejo taking seat Thursday afternoon
Colorado Rockies infielder Alan Trejo is not in the starting lineup against right-hander Josiah Gray and the Washington Nationals in Thursday afternoon's series opener.
Trejo will take a seat after starting the last two games. Elehuris Montero will move to third base in place of Trejo and hit seventh. The left-handed hitting Charlie Blackmon will replace Trejo in the lineup to be the designated hitter and third batter. Kris Bryant will bat second and Yonathan Daza will drop to eighth.
numberFire’s models project Montero ($2,600) for 11.2 FanDuel points on Thursday. Blackmon ($3,400) is projected for 12.6 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rockies have the highest implied total (5.96) and game total (11.0) out of six games today. Gray has given up 2.41 home runs per 9 innings over 224 1/3 career innings. Last season versus lefty bats, he posted a 5.77 xFIP, 23.2% strikeout rate, 15.7% walk rate, and 61.8% fly-ball rate while allowing an absurd 3.38 home runs per 9 innings.
