Athletics' Mason Miller on 80-pitch 'soft cap' Wednesday
Oakland Athletics pitcher Mason Miller will have a “soft cap” around 80 pitches in his MLB debut on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs.
What It Means:
The Athletics selected Miller's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday. He will make his MLB debut versus the Cubs after throwing 19 strikeouts with zero walks over 8 2/3 innings for Las Vegas and Double-A Midland between his first two minor-league starts this season.
