Francisco Alvarez 'dinged up' Thursday, sitting for Mets
New York Mets outfielder Francisco Alvarez is not in the lineup versus right-hander Taj Bradley and the Tampa Bay Rays in Thursday afternoon's series finale.
Alvarez is taking a breather Thursday afternoon because he's "banged up," according to Mets manager Buck Showalter. Michael Perez will catch for Tylor Megill and bat ninth.
numberFire’s models project Perez ($2,000) for 6.9 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets' implied total is 4.41 and the game total is 9.0. Through three starts in the bigs, Bradley has impressed with a 38.3% strikeout rate, 3.3% walk rate, 11.5% swinging-strike rate, and 28.7% called plus swinging-strike rate.
