Connor Joe joining Pirates bench Friday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Connor Joe is not in the lineup versus right-hander Zac Gallen and the Arizona Diamondbacks in Friday's series opener.
What It Means:
The Pirates will start Bryan Reynolds, Jack Suwinski, and Josh Palacios across the outfield as they welcome the Diamondbacks to town. Andrew McCutchen will bat leadoff as the designated hitter. Suwinski will hit third after not being higher than cleanup any other time this season.
