Yasmani Grandal (hamstring) sidelined Friday for White Sox
Chicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Zack Greinke and the Kansas City Royals.
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Grandal may be held out a game or two to tend to a lingering hamstring issue. Seby Zavala will continue to handle catching duties and Jake Burger will take over at designated hitter on Friday. Yoan Moncada will also return to third base and cleanup duties. Gavin Sheets will replace Jake Marisnick in right field and bat sixth. Romy Gonzalez will take over for Hanser Alberto on second base and bat eighth.
numberFire’s models project Burger ($3,000) for 9.1 FanDuel points on Friday. Zavala ($2,200) is projected for 8.3 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the White Sox's implied total is 4.69 and the game total is 9.0. Greinke enters the game with a 16.5% strikeout rate and 29.2% hard-hit rate this season.
