Miguel Cabrera on bench for Tigers' Thursday matinee
Detroit Tigers designated hitter Miguel Cabrera is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against rookie left-hander Hogan Harris and the Oakland Athletics.
Cabrera will sit for the matinee after he went 3-for-6 with a double, an RBI, a walk, and a strikeout in the first two games of the series. Kerry Carpenter will replace Cabrera at designated hitter and bat cleanup. Javier Baez will move down a spot and hit fifth.
numberFire’s models project Carpenter ($2,700) for 9.5 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers' implied total is 4.69 and the game total is 8.5. Harris has a 5.17 ERA and 4.28 xERA this season, with a 41.7% hard-hit rate, 17.9% strikeout rate, and 9.3% walk rate.
