Angels' Taylor Ward (face) lands on 10-day IL
The Los Angeles Angels placed Taylor Ward (facial fracture) on the 10-day IL.
What It Means:
Ward took a stray fastball to the face in Saturday's contest and had to be carted from the field and taken to a nearby hospital. Tests revealed that he had suffered a fracture to a bone in his face, and he'll recover on the injured list as a result.
The Angels will fill Ward's spot in the outfield with Trey Cabbage this afternoon, who will hit eighth. Cabbage has a $2,200 salary on FanDuel and is projected to score 7.1 fantasy points against the Blue Jays.
