Dylan Carlson absent for Cardinals versus Colorado
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Chris Flexen and the Colorado Rockies.
Carlson went 1-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI in Thursday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins. Lars Nootbaar will move to center field while Tyler O'Neill will start in left and hit sixth.
numberFire’s models project O'Neill ($2,600) for 10.0 FanDuel points on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals' implied total is fourth-highest of the day at 5.43 while the game total is 9.5. Flexen has an ugly 6.74 xERA that rates in the bottom 2nd percentile of the majors this season. He also has a 43.1% hard-hit rate (bottom 23rd), 15.1% strikeout rate (bottom 5th), and 11.4% walk rate (bottom 13th).
