Jake Alu batting sixth for Nationals Tuesday in first game
Washington Nationals infielder Jake Alu will start on second base and bat sixth against right-hander Zack Wheeler and the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader.
Alu was not included in Monday's lineup before the game was postponed, but he's back in there for the front end of the doubleheader. Michael Chavis, who was slated to start on the keystone Monday, is not in the Game 1 lineup for Washington.
Alu has a $5,500 salary on the single-game slate and numberFire’s models project him for 6.2 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Nationals' implied total is second-lowest of the day at 3.30 and the game total is 8.5. Wheeler has been elite this season, with a 3.27 xERA, 36.7% hard-hit rate, 27.4% strikeout rate, and 4.6% walk rate.
