Andrew Velazquez batting ninth Monday for Angels
Los Angeles Angels infielder Andrew Velazquez will start at shortstop and hit ninth in Monday's series opener against right-hander Max Scherzer and the Texas Rangers.
Velazquez will enter the lineup at shortstop while Luis Rengifo moves to third base and bats fifth. Mike Moustakas will make another start on first base in place of C.J. Cron (back). Eduardo Escobar will be available off the bench after helping fill in last game.
