Julio Rodriguez (illness) returns to Mariners lineup Wednesday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (illness) is back in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Michael Kopech and the Chicago White Sox.
Rodriguez sat out the first two games of the series with an illness, but he will return to center field and hit second on Wednesday afternoon. J.P. Crawford will remain in the leadoff spot while Eugenio Suarez will hit third and Teoscar Hernandez will handle cleanup duty. Ty France will bat fifth for Seattle.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Mariners have the highest implied total in the majors on Wednesday at 5.54 and the game total is a batter-friendly 9.5. Kopech has an ugly 5.88 xERA this season (bottom 6th percentile of MLB) and he's handing out walks at a higher rate (14.7%) than almost any other qualified pitcher.
