Tyler Freeman taking seat for Guardians Friday
Cleveland Guardians infielder Tyler Freeman is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Chris Bassitt and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Freeman went hitless and struck out twice in Thursday's series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Jose Ramirez is starting on third base Friday and Will Brennan is working as the designated hitter for Cleveland. Oscar Gonzalez is returning to play right field and bat cleanup.
numberFire’s models project Ramirez ($3,500) for 11.5 and Brennan ($2,400) for 6.9 FanDuel points on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Guardians' implied total is 3.88 and the game total is 8.5. Bassitt has been underwhelming this season, with a 4.39 xERA and 22.4% strikeout rate.
