Chicago's Nico Hoerner receives Saturday off
Chicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner is not starting in Saturday's contest against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hoerner will take a break in Pittsburgh after Nick Madrigal was moved to second base, Jeimer Candelario was shifted to third, and Christopher Morel was named Chicago's designated hitter.
Per Baseball Savant on 429 batted balls this season, Hoerner has recorded a 2.3% barrel rate and a .268 expected average.
