Angels scratch Shohei Ohtani (undisclosed) Monday night
The Los Angeles Angels have scratched Shohei Ohtani (undisclosed) from their lineup for Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Ohtani was originally slated to bat out of the second spot as the Angels' designated hitter tonight, but will now sit out the team's series opener against the Orioles. It's unclear whether the star is dealing with a new injury or if his current elbow injury has caused tonight's scratch, but hopefully we haven't seen the last of Ohtani this season.
Ohtani has been sensational at the plate this season, with a league-leading 44 homers to go with his league-leading 8 triples. He has racked up 102 runs, 95 RBI, 20 steals, and a .304 average with a sterling 1.066 OPS on the season.
