Miguel Cabrera sent to Tigers' bench on Wednesday night
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is not starting in Wednesday's lineup versus the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Cabrera will watch from the bench after Tyler Nevin was picked as Wednesday's designated hitter, Matt Vierling was shifted to third base, and Akil Baddoo was aligned in left field.
Per Baseball Savant on 239 batted balls this season, Cabrera has accounted for a 3.8% barrel rate and a .242 expected average.
