Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes resting Thursday
Ke'Bryan Hayes will not start in the Pittsburgh Pirates' Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Hayes will catch a breather Thursday while the Pirates have Jared Triolo cover third base and bring in Alfonso Rivas to start at first base and hit seventh.
Hayes has enjoyed a breakout season, batting .275 with a career-best 15 homers. He has added 64 runs, 62 RBI, and 10 stolen bases to his career numbers and has maintained a .769 OPS over his 515 plate appearances this year.
