Yankees' Aaron Judge not in lineup Sunday
The New York Yankees will not start Aaron Judge in their Sunday afternoon game against the Kansas City Royals.
The Yankees will leave Judge off their final lineup of the 2023 season, having Kyle Higashioka cover designated hitting duties while Austin Wells makes another start behind the dish.
Judge will finish off his age 31 season with 37 homers and a 1.019 OPS over 458 plate appearances. A toe injury kept him out of a fair portion of what could have been another record-breaking season, but Judge will look to continue his elite plate performances in 2024.
