Sean Murphy not in Braves' Game 2 lineup Monday
Sean Murphy will not start in the Atlanta Braves' Monday evening game against the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Divisional Series.
Murphy started Game 1 for the Braves' postseason opener, but will cede home plate to veteran teammate Travis d'Arnaud for Game 2. d'Arnaud will bat sixth against Philly.
Murphy went 0-for-3 at the plate with a strikeout in the Braves' Game 1 loss, but will hopefully have plenty more opportunities to prove himself in his first postseason with the Braves. After spending the early years of his career in Oakland, Murphy put up career numbers in his first stint with Atlanta, notching 21 homers with 65 runs and 68 RBI across 438 plate appearances while maintaining a strong .844 OPS.
