Yainer Diaz at DH Game 3 for Astros
Houston Astros catcher/designated hitter Yainer Diaz will start at DH and bat sixth in Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Tuesday against right-hander Sonny Gray and the Minnesota Twins.
Diaz is entering his first postseason lineup after being limited to a pinch-hit appearance in the first two games of the series. Michael Brantley is taking a seat after serving as the DH in Game 2.
numberFire’s models project Diaz ($3,000) for 10.2 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros' 3.78 implied team total is the lowest on the board today. Gray tossed five scoreless innings in the Wild Card Series after registering a solid 3.49 xFIP, 24.5% strikeout rate, and 4.8% walk rate after the All-Star break.
