Evan Carter sitting for Rangers in Game 2 Monday
Texas Rangers outfielder Evan Carter is not in the lineup for Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Monday afternoon versus left-hander Framber Valdez and the Houston Astros.
The left-handed hitting Carter will take a seat for the first time this postseason as the Rangers face their first southpaw. Robbie Grossman will join the outfield and hit third while Mitch Garver will serve as the designated hitter again and bat fifth.
numberFire’s models project Grossman ($2,600) for 9.8 and Garver ($3,100) for 10.6 FanDuel points on Monday. Garver is currently our third-best point-per-dollar value among batters today. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers' implied total is 4.13 and the game total is 8.5. In the last round, Valdez gave up 5 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.
